Bluetooth Software Download

The Widcomm Bluetooth Stack module is a program made for laptops and PCs. The program allows users to connect to other Bluetooth devices for robust wireless networking performance. To perform Widcomm Bluetooth software download, follow these steps.

Step 1

If you haven’t already, download the Widcomm Bluetooth Stack software driver. This is available from Broadcom’s website and other download sites on the Net. When the license agreement appears, scroll through the bottom of the page. Click “Agree”.

Step 2

The file download popup window will appear. Choose ”save”. This will save the file to your computer. Accept the default folder or choose another one.

Step 3

Wait for the setup file download to finish. When it’s complete, double click the link included in the driver setup file. The Widcomm Bluetooth Stack installation wizard will appear.

Step 4

As the Widcomm Bluetooth software download begins, read and follow the on-screen instructions. The time will vary depending on the driver version you are downloading.

After the driver is successfully downloaded, a message will appear confirming the download is complete. The Initial Bluetooth Configuration wizard will then appear.

Step 5

This step involves the configuration of the device. The first screen that pops up will ask if you want to go on with the configuration procedure. Click “next”. Select the various settings and configuration options. Restart the computer.

Using Widcomm Bluetooth

To test the software, pair a device (e.g., printer, phone, external hard drive etc) with an installed Bluetooth. Turn the Bluetooth on. It will have a blue icon. The insert is colored white when active. Turn the Bluetooth of your PC on.

Make a Bluetooth connection with the Windows system tray. Right click the device and choose “find devices”. Pick the device you want to pair with the PC. A request will be sent by the PC. Head to the device and accept the request. Choose the service you want to use. If you are able to access the service, it means the device has been successfully installed.

Note: services offered by Bluetooth devices vary. Remember too that Widcomm is compatible only with Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME, 98 or SE. Visit Widcomm resources online to check for any updates on the drivers.
